Disclaimer
Last updated: June 17, 2026
We believe honesty is part of how we earn your trust. This disclaimer explains, plainly, the limits of what TrueID can do.
TrueID is a toolkit, not a guarantee
TrueID helps you reduce risk, find out early when something leaks, and recover faster. It cannot guarantee that you will never be breached, scammed, or have your identity stolen. No service can honestly promise that.
Not insurance, legal, or financial advice
TrueID is not an insurance policy, a law firm, a credit-repair organization, or a financial advisor. Information in the app (including breach alerts, recovery steps, and credit-protection guidance) is for general educational purposes and is not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your situation.
We guide; we do not act on your behalf
For data-broker opt-outs and account-recovery steps, TrueID shows you what to do and helps you track it. We do not submit removals for you, contact agencies on your behalf, freeze your credit, or ask for your account passwords.
Third-party information may be incomplete
Breach, scam, and exposure data comes from third-party sources that may be incomplete or out of date. A clean result does not prove your information is safe, and a flagged result is a prompt to investigate, not a verdict.
Your decisions are your own
You are responsible for the actions you take based on information from TrueID. Always use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional when the stakes are high.
