We can't lose what we never hold
TrueID does not store your passport, driver's license, or other ID document images. We deliberately avoid becoming a tempting target. Less stored data means less that can ever be exposed.
Your data is scoped to you
Every piece of your information lives behind your login and is locked to your account at the database level, so one person can never see another's data — enforced by the database itself, not just our code.
Sensitive checks stay private
When you check a password, it's tested using a privacy-preserving method that never sends your actual password anywhere. Breach checks never store or log the email you look up.
Our everyday practices
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) everywhere, with strict security headers.
- Secret keys live only on our servers — never shipped to your browser.
- Bot and abuse protection on public tools, with rate limits.
- You can delete your account and data at any time, for any reason.
Honest about limits: no service can promise you will never be breached, and TrueID is a protection toolkit — not an insurance policy or legal service. What we can do is help you reduce your risk, find out early when something leaks, and recover quickly. That honesty is part of how we earn your trust.
